The OnePlus 10T launch event will hosted in New York City, and also livestreamed
The company’s press event will start at 10 AM EST / 7 AM PST / 4 PM CET / 3 PM BST / 7:30 PM IST. The company will be holding a physical launch event at Gotham Hall in New York City, actually. This will be OnePlus’ first physical launch event in the last couple of years, as the pandemic managed to mess things up completely. OnePlus has been selling tickets to its fans for this event, but the show will be livestreamed as well. You’ll be able to watch the event via the company’s YouTube page, and the OnePlus 10T’s landing page. The latter will likely simply have a YouTube link embedded in it. A direct link is embedded below the article. Now, the OnePlus 10T 5G will be a high-end phone, but not technically the company’s new flagship. Well, yes and no. The OnePlus 10 Pro will remain the more expensive sibling, but the OnePlus 10T will beat it in two categories.
The phone will include a more powerful SoC than the OnePlus 10 Pro
The OnePlus 10T 5G will include a more powerful SoC, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. On top of that, it will offer faster charging. It will support 150W wired charging in most countries, but North America will be limited to 125W charging. This handset will also resemble the OnePlus 10 Pro quite a bit. It will, however, feature a flat display, and not a curved one. Its rear camera setup will be slightly different as well, in terms of the design. The OnePlus 10T will utilize three cameras on the back, but most of those will be different than the ones on the OnePlus 10 Pro. The device will use inferior ultrawide and macro cameras back there. It also won’t have Hasselblad’s backing or branding. If you’d like to know more about the phone as we’re waiting for the launch event, feel free to check out our preview.
