Most notably, the design was inspired by the look of the DualSense controller for PS5. It features the same white colorway as the console, first of all. It even appears to have the jewel-like design on the d-pad and action buttons. There’s also a PlayStation logo embossed on the back of the extendable bridge. Lastly, and this should come as no surprise, the action buttons feature the same square, triangle, circle, cross symbols as a proper PlayStation controller would. The only caveat to this controller, for Android users at least, is that this is only compatible with iPhone.

The Backbone One PlayStation Edition is iPhone exclusive

This isn’t entirely surprising given the original Backbone One was iPhone only for quite some time. You can actually now buy an Android model of the original version. So with that said, maybe there’s a chance that Backbone will release an Android model of the PlayStation Edition down the line. The Backbone One PlayStation Edition is intended for use with PS Remote Play. But it works perfectly fine with mobile games too. And even other cloud gaming options like GeForce NOW. Feature-wise, the controller is exactly the same. It still provides passthrough charging and has a headphone port. There is a new section in the Backbone app though for PlayStation exclusives. If you’re not necessarily looking for a PlayStation-themed mobile controller, Razer’s Kishi V2 is also a great option. Plus, it works with Android. Backbone One PlayStation Edition
