Let’s catch you up

Earlier this year, Elon Musk shook the tech news industry by announcing that he was purchasing the social media platform Twitter. He held a pole asking if people wanted an edit tweet button and all seemed right with the world. However, drama quickly overtook this whole situation, as Elon Musk eventually filed a document that would terminate the deal. Why did he do this? Well, he claims that it was because Twitter would not disclose the number of bot accounts on the platform. This became the theme for future arguments between the unhappy couple. When news about this broke, Twitter moved to sue Elon and force him to close the $44 billion dollar deal. Elon and his lawyers wanted to push the official trial to February of 2023, but Twitter wanted a September trial. Eventually, the trial was set to happen sometime in October. We’re still waiting to see if Elon will be the reluctant owner of one of the biggest social media platforms.

Now, Elon Musk is under investigation by the federal government

2022 is not Elon Musk’s year. This whole bid to acquire Twitter has turned into a rollercoaster of emotions. Now, as if things couldn’t get any worse, it seems that Elon Musk is under investigation by the federal government. At this time, we have no idea what exactly he’s being investigated over, or which branch of the government is investigating them. We know that it has something to do with the deal. From what we understand, Elon Musk had to apply for some extremely hefty loans in order for the deal to move forward. He didn’t exactly have $44 billion just warming up his pocket. So, this investigation could be about how exactly he required the money to buy Twitter. We will have to wait for information about this case to arise. As it stands, we’re all sure that Elon Musk is regretting wanting to buy Twitter.
